Say which phone and which version of Android or iOS you use, and what you were doing when it happened. A screenshot helps. Please do not send your backup file.
Do I need an account?
No. LogEZ has no accounts and no sign-in. Install it and start logging.
Where is my data stored?
On your phone only. LogEZ has no server and no cloud sync, so nothing you log is sent to us.
The one thing LogEZ itself sends online is the picture of a map: when a map is on screen, your phone asks a map provider (OpenFreeMap) for the area you are looking at. Tapping a source link in a Learn article opens your browser; LogEZ sends nothing to that site. See the privacy policy for the details.
How do I back up my data or move to a new phone?
Open Settings, then Export and backup. You can export CSV files of your workouts and measurements, or make a full backup file that includes your photos.
On the new phone, install LogEZ, open Export and backup and restore from that file. Because there is no cloud copy, the backup file is the only copy of your history that leaves the phone, so keep it somewhere safe.
Why does LogEZ ask for these permissions?
Location is used only to record a run, walk, ride or hike while you are tracking one. Notifications show your workout and rest timer. Camera is for progress photos and videos. Health Connect (Android) is optional and read-only: steps, calories and heart rate, and you can allow each one on its own.
You can say no to any of them and keep using the rest of the app.
Why is the map blank?
The map picture loads from the internet, so it stays blank when you are offline. Your route is still being recorded, and the map fills in the next time you open the run while you are online.
My heart rate is missing from a run.
Heart rate comes from Health Connect, and many watches send it a little after the workout. Open your watch's app so it syncs, then come back to the run: LogEZ looks again and adds what arrived. If you have not allowed heart rate in Health Connect, allow it under LogEZ's permissions there.
How do I change the colours?
Open Profile, then Settings, then Appearance. Choose System, Light or Dark and one of five colours (Lime, Sky blue, Pink, Emerald or Violet), look at the preview, then tap Apply. Your widgets and the route line on maps follow the colour you apply.
How do I make an image of a workout to share?
On the summary after you save a workout or an outdoor activity, tap Share. Pick a layout and a background (a colour, your own photo or a transparent one), choose what to show, then Save it to your phone or Share it. The image is made on your phone and nothing is uploaded.
What are Timed workouts?
A Timed routine runs on a clock: AMRAP (as many rounds as you can), EMOM (every minute on the minute), intervals, for time, or rounds at your own pace. Choose Timed when you build a routine, and tap the small info button next to a format to read what it means.
Can I add a video to my measurements?
Yes. A check-in can hold several photos and one video of up to 30 seconds, recorded without sound. They stay on your phone, and when you make a backup you can leave the videos out to keep the file small.
What does the level on an exercise mean?
It is LogEZ's own rating of how hard the movement is to do well: Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. It comes from three things, each scored on its own: how much technique it needs, how stable you have to be, and what you should be able to do first. Tap "What's this" on an exercise to see how it was worked out.
Is there a version for iPhone?
It is on the way. LogEZ is coming soon to both Google Play and the App Store, and this site will link to each as soon as it is live.
How do I delete my data?
Settings has an option to delete everything LogEZ holds, and a separate one for Health Connect data. Uninstalling the app removes it too. There is no copy on a server, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
