22 October
New
- Outdoor sessions keep going when you swipe the app away.Closing LogEZ from your recent apps no longer ends a walk, run or ride. The timer and GPS carry on, the notification stays up, and opening the app takes you back to the live screen with your route intact.
- Finish from the notification.A forgotten outdoor session can be ended from its notification. It asks you to unlock the phone first, so a tap in a pocket does not end a run.
- Your route is saved as you go.LogEZ now writes the route to your phone every 15 seconds while you move. If the app is closed unexpectedly or the phone runs out of memory, the next time you open it offers to save the route you recorded instead of only the time.
- An unfinished routine or exercise comes back.If Android closes LogEZ while you are building a routine or writing a custom exercise, the form is there as you left it when you return. Saving or discarding clears it.
- Send feedback.A feedback page in Settings and on Profile: pick a kind, add details if you like, and send. With no connection it is kept on your phone and sent later.
Changed from the previous release
- Safer backups. If your data changes while a backup is being written, LogEZ writes it again, up to three times, so a backup never disagrees with itself. A restore now brings data back a page at a time, which suits large histories.
- A damaged settings file no longer stops the app.LogEZ falls back to its defaults and opens, instead of failing at start.
- Finishing or discarding a workout always completes. The last saves can no longer be cut short half way.
- Rest day line.On Profile it now reads "A workout today extends your streak."
- Widget step counts match the app. They are written the same way, with thousands separated.
21 October
New
- Exercises by muscle and type. The Exercises screen opens on galleries of muscles (Upper, Core and Lower) and a Type of exercise row, with All exercises below. Each row shows a level and a Guide mark.
- Exercise guides.Steps, cues and common mistakes for the most-used exercises, in our own words, with alternatives that are easier, a swap or harder. A book button in the logger opens the same guide in the middle of a workout.
- A level on every exercise.LogEZ's own rating, from technique, stability and prerequisites: Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced, with a sheet that explains how it is worked out.
- Exercise Progress.A chart and your records for one exercise, worked out from your own sets.
Changed from the previous release
- The exercise page. Now a hero and cards: How to do it, Cues, Common mistakes, Progress, History and Alternatives. Its one action is Add to routine, or Add to workout while a workout is running.
- The exercise picker.Redrawn to match: muscle galleries, Level and Has guide chips, a guide preview, and a selection that stays while you browse.
20 October
New
- Learn.Short training articles that live inside the app, four to begin with. Every claim carries a numbered source that opens in your browser, along with the source's own evidence grading (never a score of ours), a review date and a next-check line. The list has search and topic chips, plus a Start here article. LogEZ sends nothing to the sites you open.
- Glossary. The lifting terms and the Timed terms, such as AMRAP and EMOM, in one Glossary row inside Learn.
- Library hub.My routines with an Edit mode, drag routines between folders and a Not in a folder row, then Browse rows for Premade plans and Exercises. If you have no routines yet, Start here puts Premade plans first. Premade plans lists every plan as a full-width row, grouped Strength and Timed.
- 40 achievements, each with its own badge.Workout counts up to 500, day and week streaks, records, lifetime volume, sets and variety, a full-body week, step days, a million steps and step streaks. Outdoors adds a first activity, 5K, 10K and a half marathon in one session, 100 and 500 km, 1,000 m of climbing and five different activities. Figures show in the unit you use.
Changed from the previous release
- Privacy policy. Now also covers Learn source links, the watch app, the climb sensor, videos and the share photo. Effective 20 October 2026.
- Achievements grow from 17 to 40.The Achievements screen now shows a badge for each one instead of a plain list.
19 October
New
- Check-in photos and video.A measurement entry can hold photos and a 30 second silent video, taken with one shared camera and shown in a viewer. A full-screen Compare puts two check-ins side by side. Photos and video can be left out of a backup with a switch.
- A new logo.A solid hexagon with a stencil L, in the app, on the watch, on the share screen and in the store pictures.
Changed from the previous release
- Rest timer rules. The rest total is now the exercise's rest, or the last pill you chose. The plus and minus 15 buttons change only the time left, tapping a pill restarts the rest, and 4:00 and 5:00 were added.
16 to 18 October
New
- Wear OS watch app.A first version that shows your heart rate and a live view of an outdoor session on your wrist. It is early and will change as it meets more watches.
- Widgets.Quick start is one row with Start workout, Outdoors and Routines, and a tap opens the right screen with the usual confirmations. Weekly progress comes in five sizes, from a ring for the week to a bar with the seven days, your week streak and today's steps.
- Five colours.Lime, Sky blue, Pink, Emerald and Violet, each in System, Light or Dark. Look at the preview, then tap Apply. Widgets and the route line on maps follow the colour you apply.
- Sound and voice. In Settings, four buzzer sets (Today, Gym whistle, Service bell and Buzzer) and spoken cues, off by default, in one of two voices. The voice can count the last 3 seconds, say what is next and speak the rest timer.
Changed from the previous release
- A Share screen replaces the share dialog.Pick a template and a background: dark, lime or light with five patterns, your own photo from the picker or the camera, or a transparent one. Choose which figures to show and the size over a live preview. Layouts include Total, Lifts and Route posters and overlays such as Stack, Number, Glass, Center, Compact, Line and Stamp, with a White or Black logo. The image is made on your phone.
- Save Workout redrawn. Now redrawn for Standard, Timed and outdoor sessions. It shows the kind of session, a tappable date (backdating still works), an editable title and the session's own figures, with Discard and Save pinned at the foot.
- Routine page redrawn.A lime Start tile and a muscle card for Standard, Rounds and every Timed format. Tap an exercise and the muscles it works light up. A Timed routine shows its last result.
- Measurements redrawn. The single chart and list became three tabs: Trends, Body by area and Photos with a Compare card. Swipe to delete, a grouped entry sheet with Fill from last and last-value hints, a first-run screen, and a camera that shows your last photo faintly so you can line up the next one.
- Timed rest heads-up.Ten seconds before the next block the voice says “Rest”, then the name of what is coming and “Get ready”.
7 to 15 October
New
- Timed workouts.Five formats: AMRAP, EMOM, intervals, for time, and Rounds at your own pace. A builder with a plan card, a schedule strip and a short explainer for each format. Intervals come with presets (Tabata, 40/20, 30/30, 45/15 and a 7-minute workout), a Get ready countdown and an optional time cap.
- Live clocks.Intervals show NOW, NEXT and JUST DONE. EMOM shows a strip of minutes: done, missed, now and to do. AMRAP has +1 ROUND and Undo. For time gives each exercise a tick and a split. All have Pause, Skip and Finish early, keep running with the screen locked and come back after the app is closed.
- Timed results.A score card on the summary, results in History, text on the share card and in your backups, and a Last time on the routine. Missed and skipped rounds read as missed or skipped, never as zero.
- Timed settings and notification.Switches for tones and vibration, a default Get ready, a notification with a +1 round button for an AMRAP, and a Staying safe note.
- Light, Dark or System.LogEZ follows your phone, or you choose.
- Training plans.A gallery under My routines in level groups, with a See all screen filtered by level, equipment, days and Strength or Timed. It includes three Timed programs: a 12 minute bodyweight AMRAP, a 12 minute dumbbell EMOM and 12:30 of 30/30 intervals.
- Quick entry over the keyboard.A bar above the keyboard for weight (Last, minus 2.5, plus 2.5) and for time (Last, 0:30, 0:45, 1:00, 2:00).
Changed from the previous release
- A calmer logger. Before, every exercise showed all its sets at once. Now one exercise is open at a time, the rest folded into rows, and a live strip with elapsed time, sets, volume and records. Supersets are drawn as one group with the next member shown as up next. Rest is a small pill under the list with a panel for minus 15, plus 15 and Skip.
- Circuit is now Rounds. The clockless format sits beside Intervals, EMOM, AMRAP and For time in the Timed family, and the routine builder offers Standard or Timed.
- Numbers are easier to read.A new typeface, IBM Plex Sans, replaces the earlier one. It with figures that line up in columns, and a check of every screen at larger text sizes so nothing is cut off.

- Rest days and a daily step goal.Rest days keep a streak alive and show as a dashed ring. The week streak counts weeks that met your target, and the step streak powers the 10K step achievements.
